Rogue River and experience some of
the best fishing in the Pacific
Northwest.

 |
The Rogue River is known world-wide
for it's excellent salmon and steelhead
fishing. Sturgeon and trout can also be
found upriver. Jot's Resort, located
along the north bank of the Rogue River
bay, has everything an angler needs. We
offer lodging, guided fishing trips,
rental boats, rental gear (rods, reels,
nets, etc.), dock space, boat/trailer
parking, a boat ramp, one-day fishing licenses, and
one of the largest tackle shops on the
Oregon coast.
 The
Spring run of Chinook salmon (Kings) can
be caught from April through July.
Anglers anchor along the river just
upstream from Jot's. During the Fall run
of Chinook salmon from July through
October, anglers will troll the bay
right beside Jot's during incoming tide,
and troll the mouth during outgoing
tide. Spinners, straight bait (anchovie),
and spinner-bait combos are used.
Chinook salmon typically weigh 10-40+
lbs. You can weigh your fish on our
scale. We give out pins for fish over
30lbs. (from bronze to gold).
 Coho
salmon (Silvers) are available from
September through December upriver from
Jot's and typically weigh from 5 to 15
lbs. Summer steelhead (half-pouders) are
also plentiful from July through
November and provide a challenging fight
on light tackle. Winter Steelhead
(sea-run rainbow trout), best from
December through February, weigh in from
5-15 lbs.
Sturgeon is available year-round, as
well as trout, which can be fished from
the stocked Libby Pond nearby. In
addition to the Rogue River, Jot's
Resort is within 30 minutes of the Elk,
Sixes, and Chetco Rivers. We can provide
guides to any of these locations when
the fishing is good.
